Gold Standard Ventures Corp. (TSX VENTURE:GSV)(NYSE MKT:GSV) ("Gold Standard" or the "Company") is pleased to announce that it has completed its previously announced marketed private placement of 7,936,509 common shares at a price of C$0.63 per share for gross proceeds of C$5,000,000 (the "Offering"). Macquarie Capital Markets Canada Ltd. acted as sole agent for the Offering and a cash commission of up to 6% was paid on the proceeds thereof.
The Company intends to use the net proceeds of the Offering for exploration work at Gold Standard's flagship Railroad Project in north-central Nevada, for working capital and general corporate purposes.
All common shares of the Company issued in connection with the Offering are subject a hold period in Canada of four months and one day expiring December 3, 2013 and applicable hold periods in the United States.
