Goodin Abernathy Partners Named to 2012 Indiana Super Lawyers List

INDIANAPOLIS, IN--(Marketwire -02/20/12)- Indiana Super Lawyers recently announced its annual Super Lawyers list. Among the elite group of Indiana lawyers, James A. Goodin and Jon Abernathy of Goodin Abernathy LLP were named to the prestigious list.

The selection process included peer nominations, research of candidates and a blue ribbon panel review. Barbara McGivern, Vice President of Super Lawyers, wrote individually to the partners of their selection, "Based on our statewide nomination process, review of your resume and the evaluation of your peers, you have been selected for inclusion of the 2012 Indiana Super Lawyers list."

1973 Indiana School of Law graduate and 1983 graduate of Valparaiso University School of Law, Goodin and Abernathy, respectively, have been placed among Indiana's most successful lawyers with their selection to the 2012 Indiana Super Lawyers list. "Only 5 percent of Indiana attorneys are chosen each year," McGivern added in her letter.

"Law is something that has always intrigued me," Goodin says of his career. "My natural talents seemed to fall into the realm of law, and I knew these talents could be of service to the public. I'm incredibly passionate about representing individuals."

Goodin has been representing individual and corporate clients for more than 30 years, focusing mainly on personal injury and business disputes while Abernathy focuses on litigation particularly in commercial, insurance and personal injury matters.

"Handling these cases lets me work with individuals and help them resolve problems they couldn't necessarily handle on their own," said Abernathy of his experience with the firm.

Goodin and Abernathy's honors are published in the most recent issue of Indiana Super Lawyers magazine and will be available in ABA-accredited law school libraries. Selected attorneys will also be advertised in Indianapolis Monthly's March 2012 issue.
