Google I/O developer’s conference, Internet for the poor and J.P. Morgan's "lazy" shareholders

So much for yesterday's rally that led the Nasdaq to a record high. All three major indexes (^DJI,^GSPC^IXIC) are lower today on a mixed bag of concerns including a big selloff in China and the continuing drama over Greece's future.

Google I/O developer’s conference

The much anticipated Google (GOOGL) I/O developer’s conference kicks off today with big announcements coming from the giant tech company. Yahoo Finance editor-in-chief Andy Serwer was in San Francisco yesterday to speak with keynote speaker, Sundar Pichai. The Senior Vice President in charge of Android, Chrome and Google Apps gives us a preview of what to expect from the conference and from Google in the coming year.

Internet for all!

FCC commissioner Tom Wheeler is reportedly considering a proposal to offer subsidized Internet access to low-income Americans. The additional program would be added to the FCC's $1.7 billion dollar phone subsidy program.

Dimon and "lazy" shareholders

J.P. Morgan Chase (JPM) chairman and CEO Jamie Dimon is back in the spotlight. This time he called some investors lazy after one-third of the company’s shareholders disapproved of his pay. Dimon said that investors who followed the advice of two advisory firms, which have been critical of his leadership, are irresponsible.

Swiss Bank Games

You might not want your bank to play games with you...but that's exactly what some Swiss banks are trying. Banks, including UBS (UBS), are designing video games and virtual reality simulations in an effort to attract a younger generation of clients.
