A U.S. trade judge rejected a patent held by Google's (GOOG) Motorola Mobility division for a sensor that stops phone users from dialing wrong numbers on touch-screen devices. The ruling was a victory for Apple (AAPL), which is locked in several patent fights with Google and smartphone maker Samsung, which uses Google's Android operating system. Google dipped 0.1%.
