Grain futures drop, livestock prices trade mixed

Wheat, corn, soybeans, oats futures drop on CBOT; beef, pork prices trade mixed

CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures dropped Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery fell 1 cent to $8.61 a bushel; March corn slid 14.25 cents to $7.3725 a bushel; March oats tumbled 6.75 cents to $3.9125 a bushel; while January soybeans lost 19 cents to $14.7225 a bushel.

Beef and pork prices were mixed on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle shed 0.62 cent to $1.304 a pound; January feeder cattle rose 0.52 cent to $1.4877 a pound; while February lean hogs fell 0.98 cent to 83.47 cents a pound.
