Grain futures, livestock prices rise

Wheat, corn, oat and soybean futures rise on the CBOT; beed and pork prices also rise

CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures rose Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery rose 9.5 cents to $7.0125 a bushel; May corn rose 5.75 cents to $6.4525 a bushel; May oats rose 4.25 cents to $3.945 a bushel; while May soybeans jumped 19.5 cents to $14.235 a bushel.

Beef and pork prices also rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle rose 0.83 cent to $1.229 a pound; May feeder cattle rose 1.10 cent to $1.422 a pound; June lean hogs added 0.82 cent to 91.82 cents a pound.
