CHICAGO (AP) -- Grain futures were lower Friday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.
Wheat for September delivery was 9.50 cents lower at $5.12 a bushel; December corn was 8 cents lower at $4.0560 a bushel; December oats were 6.50 cents lower at $2.4240 bushel; while November soybeans were 8.50 cents lower at 9.72 cents a bushel.
Beef was lower and pork higher on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.
October live cattle was .45 cent lower at $1.4420 a pound; August feeder cattle was .43 cent lower at $2.0935 a pound; October lean hogs gained .55 cent to $.6525 a pound.
