Grains futures mostly rise, livestock prices rise

Corn, oat and soybean futures rise while wheat futures fall on the CBOT

CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures mostly rose Thursday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for May delivery fell 0.75 cent to $6.3850 a bushel; May corn rose 1.50 cent to $6.5825 a bushel; May oats rose 2 cents to $3.37 a bushel; while May soybeans jumped 14.50 cents to $14.34 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

June live cattle rose 0.70 cent to $1.1582 a pound; May feeder cattle rose 0.12 cent to $1.4832 a pound; while June lean hogs rose 1.52 cent to 93.52 cents a pound.
