Grains futures mostly rose, livestock prices fall

Corn and soybean futures jump, while wheat and oat futures are flat on the CBOT

CHICAGO (AP) -- Grain prices either rose or were flat Monday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery was unchanged at $8.4775 a bushel; December corn rose 29.25 cents to $7.6950 a bushel; December oats were flat at $3.7450 a bushel; while November soybeans jumped 36 cents to $15.8850 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures fell on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle fell 0.55 cent to $1.1665 a pound; August feeder cattle fell 3 cents to $1.36 a pound; while August lean hogs slipped 0.40 cent to 90 cents a pound.
