Grains futures slide; Livestock prices rise

Wheat, corn, soybeans and oats futures drop on CBOT; Beef, pork prices rise

CHICAGO (AP) -- Grains futures slid Friday on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for September delivery fell 31.75 cents to $8.0625 a bushel; December corn dropped 15.5 cents to $6.93 a bushel; December oats shed 4.5 cents to $3.595 a bushel; while November soybeans slid 20.75 cents to $15.0575 a bushel.

Beef and pork futures rose on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

August live cattle added 0.05 cent to $1.192 a pound; August feeder cattle rose 0.57 cent to $1.4652 a pound; while August lean hogs gained 0.43 cent to 93.30 cents a pound.
