Grains, livestock prices drop on CBOT

Wheat, corn, soybean futures fall on Chicago Board of Trade; beef and pork prices lower

CHICAGO (AP) -- Grain prices dropped Friday in early trading on the Chicago Board of Trade.

Wheat for March delivery fell 2 cents to $8.60 per bushel; March corn dropped 5.5 cents to $7.46 a bushel; March oats were flat at $3.98 per bushel; and January soybeans slid 8.25 cents to $14.83 per bushel.

Beef and pork futures also were lower on the Chicago Mercantile Exchange.

February live cattle slipped 0.67 cent to $1.3035 per pound; January feeder cattle dropped 0.2 cent to $1.4805 a pound; February lean hogs shed 1.1 cent to 83.35 cents a pound.
