Grangemouth dispute 'no risk to fuel supplies' - Energy Minister


LONDON, Oct 23 (Reuters) - A dispute between workers and theSwiss owners of the Grangemouth chemical plant and oil refineryin Scotland poses no threat to fuel supplies, Britain's EnergyMinister Ed Davey said on Wednesday.

"Fuel supplies continue to be delivered as usual and thereis no current risk of disruption to supplies," Davey said in awritten statement.

Ineos, the Swiss company which owns half of the refineryand all of the chemical plant, said it had decided to close theplant's petrochemicals unit altogether, but to keep the oilrefinery open, provided the threat of strike action was lifted.
