GuestLogix Welcomes Inflight Entertainment & Connectivity Veteran to Board of Directors

TORONTO, ONTARIO--(Marketwired - May 6, 2015) - GuestLogix Inc. (GXI.TO), the leading global provider of ancillary-focused merchandising, payment and business intelligence technology to airlines and the passenger travel industry, today announced that in-flight entertainment & connectivity (IFEC) executive and visionary, Louis Belanger-Martin has been appointed as Director and will join the Company's board, effective immediately.

Also serving as Vice Chairman of Global Eagle Entertainment (ENT) and as a Board Member of SONIFI, the leader in digital entertainment solutions to the hospitality industry (formerly Lodgenet), Belanger-Martin has a long-standing reputation as an innovator with immense respect throughout the aviation and hospitality communities.

"It gives me great pleasure to welcome Louis to GuestLogix' Board of Directors," said Brett Proud, Interim Chairman of the Board, GuestLogix. "Louis' deep connections within the IFEC industry - both within the global airline community and with the industry's largest suppliers - along with his understanding of the future of self-service retailing onboard, brings unprecedented value to the board and to GuestLogix as a whole."

Belanger-Martin was co-founder, Chairman and Chief Executive of in-flight entertainment gaming and application specialist DTI Software (DTI) in Montreal, Canada from 1995 - 2011. DTI became the leading game and application developer in the aviation industry holding more than 90% market share in the IFEC sector. In 2011, DTI was acquired by Advanced Inflight Alliance (AIA) where Belanger-Martin served as Chief Executive until 2013. AIA became the IFEC industry's largest content service provider for audio, video, applications and games serving more than 130 of the world's airlines. Belanger-Martin led AIA through a strongly developed merger and acquisition strategy which culminated in the acquisition of AIA by leading content and connectivity provider for the airline industry, Global Eagle Entertainment (GEE). Belanger-Martin has been a board member for GEE since January of 2013.

"For quite some time, I have seen GuestLogix' potential in being the key to monetizing the in-flight experience beyond traditional onboard retailing models. Now with their OpenJaw business unit, they have certainly future-proofed their leadership position as more airlines adopt connected cabins," said Louis Belanger-Martin. "Airlines are actively looking to bring about an advanced in-flight entertainment experience tied to a comprehensive self-service retail program and GuestLogix is ideally positioned to be the facilitator to making that happen."

GuestLogix also announces the resignation of Ralph Richardi, former SVP, Customer Service at American Airlines, as Director of GuestLogix' board where he also served as Chair of the Audit Committee. Richardi has served on the board of directors since January 2009.

"On behalf of the entire board, I want to extend my deep gratitude to Ralph for his more than six years of service to GuestLogix," Proud continued. "Ralph's contributions to the board have been instrumental as we have grown as a Company. We are all extremely grateful for his guidance and dedication and wish him all the best in the future."
