Guy Fieri Has Been Awarded An Honorary Doctorate
Celebrity food show host Guy Fieri was awarded an honorary doctorate on Dec. 18 from the University of Las Vegas Nevada for his public service.
He was honored for maintaining strong ties to the campus community and for supporting college fundraising efforts.
“To get the honorary doctorate is amazing,” Fieri told ULVN's News Center.
The positive recognition of Fieri follows in the wake of the not-so-positive reviews of his new Times Square restaurant which New York Times food critic Pete Wells recently decimated.
Fieri credits UNLV with helping him achieve success in his career today, though he admits to being just an average student.
His advice to recent graduates?
Work hard, get experience, and take pride in your time at UNLV.
