ENCINITAS, CA--(Marketwire - Feb 11, 2013) - The Surf Industry Manufacturers Association (SIMA) Thursday night awarded Hansen Surfboards Men's Retailer of The Year at its Image Awards. The award was judged by industry peers and honored the best of the surf industry for 2012. The retailer was also named Women's Retailer of the Year in 2010, the year before Hansen Surfboards celebrated its 50th anniversary.
As the only awards program of its kind, the SIMA Image Awards identify the surf industry's most influential companies and recognizes them for their efforts to advance and grow the industry over the past year.
"We're humbled by this recognition," said Josh Hansen, "especially as we've been acknowledged in both categories -- Women's Retailer of the Year in 2010 and now Men's Retailer of the Year for 2012. It's so important for us that our customers know we're not only a surf shop, but we also carry trendier attire for men and women of all ages, including swimwear, casual wear, snow wear, accessories, jewelry, watches and even home décor."
The retailer's men's line includes swimwear, beachwear, casual wear and accessories. Men's swimwear and sportswear brands include Billabong, O'Neill, Quiksilver, Volcom, Brixton, Hurley, RVCA, Rip Curl and Tommy Bahama, among others.
