Health Republic Insurance of New York Extends Deadline for Initial Payment

Members Now Have Until January 15th to Submit Premium Payments

Health Republic Insurance of New York, a new not-for-profit Consumer Operated and Oriented Plan (CO-OP) offering health insurance coverage in New York State, today announced that it has adjusted the payment deadline to January 15, 2014 for customers who enrolled before December 25, 2013 for health insurance coverage with a January 1, 2014 effective date.

We are also working expeditiously to ensure that our members can confirm their enrollment in our plans and access the healthcare that they need.”

Customers can make payments in a variety of ways, including by: 1) calling Health Republic Insurance of New York at 888-990-5702 to pay by phone; 2) mailing in a check or money order with the top portion of the bill to Health Republic Insurance of New York, P.O. Box 842363, Boston, MA 02284-2363; or 3) paying online on the company’s website by visiting its billing page.

Payment must be made or postmarked by January 15, 2014 for members to receive coverage for services beginning on January 1, 2014. If a customer’s payment is not received or postmarked by the new deadline, the customer will need to re-enroll for health insurance coverage. Once payment is received, it will take several days to process and additional time for members to receive their new member welcome kit and member ID card by mail.
