BENSALEM, Pa. (AP) -- Healthcare Services Group Inc. said Tuesday its profit grew 15 percent in the second quarter.
The provider of housekeeping and food services to hospitals and nursing homes said its profit rose to $11.3 million, or 17 cents per share, from $9.8 million, or 15 cents per share. Revenue increased 26 percent, to $267.1 million from $211.5 million.
Analysts expected the company to report a profit of 17 cents per share and $259.3 million in revenue, according to FactSet.
Healthcare Services also raised its quarterly dividend to 16.375 cents from 16.25 cents. The dividend is payable Aug. 24 to shareholders of record on July 27.
Shares of Healthcare Services Group declined 13 cents to $19.63 Tuesday. The stock was unchanged in aftermarket trading.
