Government Health Authority and Health Innovator Use Hipcricket Platform to Promote HIV Prevention

KIRKLAND, WA--(Marketwired - Nov 5, 2013) - Hipcricket, Inc. (OTCBB: HIPP) (OTCQB: HIPP), the one-stop mobile advertising and marketing company, today announced it has teamed with longtime client Internet Sexuality Information Services, Inc. (DBA "YTH"), a national nonprofit organization based in Oakland, California, to provide mobile mHealth services via SMS text messaging, email and voice (IVR) to Oregon residents so they can manage and prevent transmission of HIV and other sexually transmitted diseases (STDs).

Through Hipcricket's AD LIFE® platform, YTH (formerly ISIS) and the Oregon Health Authority have built an opt-in database for HIV/STD testing, medication and prescription refill reminders, as well as weekly educational health tips. Enrolling for the mHealth alerts is free with standard text rates applying. All information stored in the system is secure, private and HIPAA compliant. The program is completely voluntary and a subscriber can choose to opt-out at any time.
