NORTH LAKE TAHOE, CA--(Marketwired - Nov 22, 2013) - In anticipation of the return of ski season, The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe introduced its Hit the Slopes Ski Package for the 2013-2014 winter season. "With lift tickets included, the Hit the Slopes package offers tremendous value to those planning their ski vacations this winter," said Joseph Mattioli, general manager of The Ritz-Carlton, Lake Tahoe. "Guests will enjoy Lake Tahoe's most luxurious slope-side accommodations and some of the best snow conditions in the region during their stay."

The Hit the Slopes Ski Package includes deluxe or mountain view guest room accommodations for four nights and two 3-day consecutive adult or child lift tickets valid at Northstar California Resort. The ski package is valid December 1, 2013 through April 20, 2014 with rates starting at $529 per night. Advanced reservations are required and are subject to availability. A four night length of stay is required.

With a slope-side location overlooking the majestic Sierra, guests will enjoy ski-in / ski-out access to Northstar and the ultimate convenience of Mountain Concierge services, where the hotel's ski valets will fetch your boots, strap your buckles and escort you to your skis and poles waiting on the slopes. After enjoying the slopes, guests can ski or ride back into the resort to dine at the new Backyard Bar & BBQ restaurant scheduled to open December 20, offering traditional BBQ favorites, wood-fired oven-baked pizzas and daily après ski specials including half-price pizzas and buckets of six beers for $20 from 4 p.m. to 6 p.m.

A winter sport enthusiast's paradise, Northstar offers 97 ski trails spread across 3,170 acres, award-winning terrain parks and snow sports including alpine and Telemark skiing, snowboarding, cross-country skiing, snowshoeing and tubing. Additional room nights may be reserved at the hotel and additional lift tickets may be purchased through True North, conveniently located inside the Lake Tahoe family resort.
