Hobsons and Parchment Continue to Partner to Simplify College Admissions Document Exchange

Parchment Receivers to Benefit From Network of Thousands of Naviance eDocs Users Leveraging Parchment Exchange

ARLINGTON, VA and SCOTTSDALE, AZ--(Marketwired - Sep 20, 2013) - Hobsons and Parchment today announced a strategic partnership to facilitate electronic transcript exchange between educational institutions. Under this agreement, Naviance schools will continue to send unlimited transcripts and admissions documents directly to more than 2,000 Parchment Receive members, the nation's largest network. Non-Common Application members that are part of the Parchment Receive network will get transcripts sent from Naviance eDocs via Parchment Receive. Beginning the 2014-2015 school year, National Transcript Center schools will also send to Parchment Receive members.

Naviance eDocs allows high school counselors, registrars, and teachers to securely send student application forms, recommendations, transcripts, and secondary school profiles electronically.

This partnership announcement follows Parchment's release earlier today regarding a major upgrade to Parchment Receive, which makes it easier than ever for college admissions and enrollment offices to automate and streamline the application process. Naviance eDocs customers will immediately benefit from the service enhancement. Admissions documents sent from Naviance eDocs will go into the receiver's Parchment Receive Inbox, affording them exceptional convenience as they sort, route and download documents according to their preferred workflow. Reports for school staff regarding receipt and download of the documents help Naviance counselors, students, and families feel more confident as they send their college application materials. The automatic exchange of digital credentials dramatically improves application processing time, student and parent satisfaction, and takes some of the stress and worry out of applying to college.

"Our relationship with Parchment offers Naviance Network members an unparalleled community of postsecondary institutions that securely accept and process electronic admissions documents. Naviance schools can be confident that they are providing the very best college application experience to their students, in addition to saving money and time processing admissions documents," said Stephen Smith, President of Hobsons' K-12 division.

"Together, Parchment and Hobsons have maintained open standards and exchanged millions of eTranscripts over the last five years. We are pleased to continue to support Naviance's comprehensive college and career planning solutions," said Matthew Pittinsky, CEO of Parchment.
