BANGKOK (AP) -- Japanese automaker Honda says production will resume at the end of March at an assembly plant in central Thailand that was inundated by flooding last year.
A company statement Tuesday quoted an executive as saying repairs are complete at the assembly plant in Ayutthaya province, north of Bangkok.
Production was stopped there last October as flooding covered wide swaths of central Thailand.
The plant makes 240,000 cars per year and is a major production base for Honda in the Asia and Oceania region. Honda said other plants that suspended work due to lack of parts from Thailand will also restart regular operations in April.
