Hulu's CEO has asked the site's owners, Walt Disney (DIS), Comcast (CMCSA) and News Corp (NWSA), for about $200M to fund more program purchases and an overseas expansion, which is about twice the amount they contributed this year, according to The Wall Street Journal, citing sources. The request puts the spotlight on differences between the two voting partners, Disney and News Corp, over Hulu's business model and it is uncertain how they will respond, the report added.
