Huntington Ingalls awarded $487M contract by U.S. Coast Guard

Huntington Ingalls Industries (HII) announced that the U.S. Coast Guard has awarded a $487M, fixed-price-incentive-fee contract to its Ingalls Shipbuilding division to build the sixth National Security Cutter, Munro. Ingalls builds, integrates and tests the NSC hull, mechanical and electrical systems, while Lockheed Martin (LMT) provides the command, control, communications, computers, intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance capabilities onboard the cutters.
