Huron Consulting Group (HURN), a leading provider of business consulting services, today announced that Andrew A. Ziskind, M.D., managing director and Clinical solutions leader in its Huron Healthcare practice, has been recognized as one of the Top 25 Consultants for 2013 by Consulting magazine.
“I am proud, but not surprised, that Andy has been recognized as a top consultant by this prestigious industry ranking,” said Gordon Mountford, executive vice president, Huron Healthcare. “Andy delivers innovative clinical solutions to hospitals across the country – fundamentally redesigning, for the better, the way patient care is delivered.”
Dr. Ziskind leads Huron Healthcare’s Clinical solutions group, which drives sustainable improvements in care quality, patient satisfaction, and financial performance. He has helped hospitals, healthcare systems, and academic medical centers across the country enhance operational efficiency and reduce care variation, which has resulted in dramatic improvements in cost, quality and satisfaction for Huron’s clients.
Prior to joining Huron Healthcare in 2012, Dr. Ziskind was a senior executive in Accenture’s Health & Public Service operating group, where he provided leadership for the Accountable Care Organization and Academic Health System practices. His clinical leadership experience includes serving as vice dean for clinical affairs and associate vice president at the University of Washington, and president of Barnes-Jewish Hospital. Dr. Ziskind graduated at the top of his class from the University of Pennsylvania’s Perelman School of Medicine and trained in internal medicine and cardiology at Massachusetts General Hospital.
“The best part of my job is literally seeing patients receive better quality care, which makes a real difference in their lives,” said Dr. Ziskind. “I’m truly honored to receive this award, but it really belongs to our team at Huron Healthcare and to our collaborating partners at the hospitals we work with.”
Consulting magazine, the flagship publication of the consulting profession, features the latest information on consulting careers, thought leadership, and corporate strategies. The Top 25 Consultants for 2013 were selected by Consulting magazine’s internal editorial selection committee from a list of several hundred nominees representing firms from around the world. Each of the Top 25 Consultants will be profiled in this month's issue of Consulting magazine and honored at a gala awards dinner in New York City.
