NEW YORK, NY--(Marketwire -06/22/12)- According to the IAB Affiliate Marketing Council, affiliate marketing is expected to grow significantly in the next year. The survey revealed that 77% of advertisers increased their affiliate marketing spend this year, while 71% expected spend to grow even more in 2012.

Though the survey represents just a fraction of affiliate marketing advertisers in the industry, it's clear that affiliate marketing continues to be seen as a legitimate and cost-effective way for businesses to market themselves. As the industry grows, expect to see more networks, advertisers and agencies stepping up their games. The predicted growth in affiliate marketing should be music to affiliates like ValueClick's ears: not only is there more money to be made, but the growing competition means that networks' and advertisers' technology, support and performance should naturally improve, where the most successful players are those that are efficient, ROI-focused and adaptable.

Yesterday, Everybody's Phone Company, Inc. (EVPH) (EVPH) a provider of innovative prepaid telephone services, announced the details of a new comprehensive affiliate marketing program designed to improve and increase sales distribution channels. Everybody's Phone Company is partnering with retailers to offer its branded and bundled telephone products, in local grocers, convenience stores, pawn shops and cash checking companies.
