VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--(Marketwire - Aug. 8, 2012) - ICN Resources ("ICN" or the "Company") (ICN.V) is pleased to report that it has SEDAR filed a National Instrument 43-101 Technical Report (the "Report") on the Goldfield Bonanza Project (the "Project"). The Project, under option from Lode Star Gold, Inc., is located in the historic Goldfield mining district of Nevada. A copy of the Report, entitled "Technical Report: Geology and Mineralization, Goldfield Bonanza Project, Esmeralda County, Nevada, USA," is available under the Company's SEDAR profile at www.sedar.com. The Report summarizes historic work as well as results from the drill programs the Company carried out in 2011. The results of the 2011 drill program were highly encouraging, and conclusions drawn from the drill program, along with the recent biogeochemical survey (see News Release of June 4, 2012), suggest new target areas for further exploration drilling at the Project.
ICN is now in the process of interpreting all results from the Phase I and II drill programs utilizing geological cross sections and a three-dimensional (3D) model to gain further understanding of controls on both the high grade and lower grade mineralization. Biogeochemical results obtained from the vegetation sampling program were very positive. Consequently, the sampling program will be expanded to cover remaining areas of the property. This data, along with alteration studies, detailed geophysics, and trace element geochemical studies will be integrated with the drill results to further aid in planning future drill campaigns. In addition, drill samples for initial metallurgic work are also being selected for testing. Combined, these studies will help to define the size, distribution, mineral association, and extraction characteristics of the gold in the identified mineralized zones.
About ICN Resources
ICN is primarily focused on exploration for volcanic-hosted precious metal deposits in western Nevada, emphasizing targets with geological similarities to Sleeper, Sandman, Hollister, Midas and Aurora. ICN plans to explore the feeder zones associated with large low-grade gold and silver systems, as well as explore for high grade deposits at the Goldfield Bonanza Project located in western Nevada. ICN continues to evaluate opportunities in established metallogenic belts elsewhere in the United States. The ICN management and geological team have extensive experience in Nevada and worldwide, utilizing this experience to generate prime opportunities for ICN shareholders.
