As the Text Kills® outreach program approaches 3 years in age, the time has come for Text Kills, Inc. to operate independently and as a subsidiary of Iconosys, Inc.

SAN CLEMENTE, Calif., July 8, 2013 – Today, Iconosys, Inc.™, a leading developer of over 1000 family safety, lifestyle, and entertainment Smartphone apps (including the ever popular Trick or Tracker®, Word Bully®, and Drive Reply® apps), and with nearly 10,000 media hits for its products and/or its outreach program Text Kills® in nearly every major newspaper, television station, cable news program across the US, including 1 or more coverage instances with Saturday Night Live, Good Morning America, Wall Street Journal, New York Times, Boston Globe, The Today Show, Orange County Register, and LA Times, just to name a few, is very pleased to announce that has decided to incorporate Text Kills® as its own Delaware 501c3 non-profit corporation. Since 2010, Text Kills® has traveled the country in an effort to spread awareness about the dangers and hazards of distracted driving and text-bullying.

Iconosys has recently applied for nonprofit status for Text Kills® under 501c3, which includes religious, educational, and charitable groups. In addition, Text Kills® plans on making a documentary about distracted driving that it would provide to educators free of charge as a teaching tool to promote safe driving practices, and is also in the process of launching a campaign on the crowd funding platform Indiegogo to raise donations for the documentary's production and distribution costs.

During the past 12 months, the Text Kills® outreach program has become more and more in demand. With more than 100,000 personal pledges on its Text Kills® tour bus and 300+ events under its belt since its birth at the 2010 US DOT's Distracted Driving Summit, and with its newest commitments from high profile, corporate clients such as Coca-Cola(NYSE:KO), Sempra Energy(NYSE:SRE), Discovery Channel, and Volkswagen, among others, the Text Kills® program is in high demand and sees its calendar filling up fast for the upcoming school year... and beyond!

This week, Text Kills® will be hosting the Grand Opening for Capistrano Volkswagen of San Juan Capistrano, CA, from July 9th through 13th. On September 6, at Kaleidoscope Center in Mission Viejo, Text Kills® will host the 4th in a series of eclectic and youthful concert festivals, the "K-Jam: Summer Heat Wave Concert". Text Kills® has gained widespread recognition for its unique approach to utilizing education and entertainment for purposes of raising the collective public consciousness regarding the very important public safety issues of distracted driving, texting while driving, and more recently, text-bullying and cyber-bullying, and in the process has received media attention nationwide. Commented Text Kills® founder and Iconosys CEO Wayne Irving II, "Now that we're just about at the three-year point in the history of this effort to save lives and discourage harmful texting practices, as well as the numerous and growing requests we have for appearances at schools, companies and other events nationwide, we think it is time to officially establish Text Kills® as an independent, standalone 501c3 corporation. While these entities will now operate independently, Iconosys remains committed to the Text Kills® mission and message."
