LOS ANGELES (AP) -- ImmunoCellular Therapeutics Ltd. on Monday named Andrew Gengos as president and CEO.

Gengos, 48, is also taking a place on the company's board of directors. He is the former president and CEO of Neuraltus Pharmaceuticals and was previously in charge of Amgen Inc.'s strategy and corporate development.

In August ImmunoCellular said Manish Singh had resigned as president and CEO. The move came after the company posted a wider second-quarter loss. Founder and Chairman John Yu replaced Sigh as interim CEO.

Shares of ImmunoCellular Therapeutics fell 9 cents, or 4.1 percent, to $2.13 on Monday. The shares picked up 7 cents, or 3.3 percent, to $2.20 in after-hours trading.
