The S&P 500 Index (:SPX) contracts have changed hands 225,000 times, with 148,000 puts. Following are the iShares Russell 2000 Fund (IWM) options at 206,000, with 129,000 puts.
The iPath S&P 500 VIX Short-Term Futures Note (:VXX) has seen 193,000 options trade, with 111,000 puts. The SPDR Gold Shares Fund (GLD) has 187,000, led by 117,000 puts.
The CBOE Volatility Index (:VIX) options again trail those of the VXX, with volume of 88,000 as calls outpace puts by better than 2 to 1.
