The SPDR S&P 500 Fund (:SPY) has 1.1 million options traded, led by 701,000 puts. The S&P 500 Index (:SPX) has seen 254,000 contracts trade, with a put/call ratio of 3 to 1. Next up are the iShares Russell 2000 Fund (IWM) options at 197,000, with puts slightly outpacing calls.
The iPath S&P 500 VIX Short-Term Futures Note (VXX) has 169,000 contracts changing hands, with a put/call ratio of 2 to 1. Following are the CBOE Volatility Index (:VIX) options at 140,000, with 87,000 calls.
The PowerShares QQQ Trust (:QQQ) has 119,000 options traded, with 71,000 puts. The iShares Emerging Markets Fund (EEM) has 67,000 turning over, with puts just outpacing calls.
