NEW YORK - November 12, 2013 - INNODATA INC. (INOD) today reported that its Philippine facilities continue normal operations despite the recent passage of Typhoon Haiyan on November 8, 2013.
A.K. Mishra, the company`s Chief Operating Officer said, "The fact that Typhoon Haiyan and its aftermath continue to make international headline news is a testament to the severity of its impact to the areas and people it has affected, including many of our employees and their families. However, our employees` dedication and perseverance have enabled us to resume operations very quickly and to continue servicing our customer`s time sensitive needs."
Last Friday, November 8, Typhoon Haiyan, believed to be the strongest typhoon to make landfall in recorded history cut a path through the Central Philippines. The typhoon`s center, or eye, passed approximately 90 miles north of Innodata`s Mandaue facility. The stormy conditions caused the Metropolitan Cebu area to shut down for the day, but Innodata`s operations normalized quickly the following day. Innodata is currently focusing on relief operations for affected employees.
