Oh, cut out the "Blame Obama" stuff. The recession was caused by two major things: the housing buble and the unpaid costs of wars in Iraq and Afghanistan.

You know, the worst thing that can happen to conservatives is that the economy should improve in 2012, thereby giving Obama a second term. Their mantra is, "Never mind how people are suffering; let's get a conservative in the White House and all will be well." Ha!

I hope the economy improves, but I tend to look at this as the Pelosi-Reid recession, since they were in charge of Congress, you know, budgets, spending, and taxes, the things that cause recessions. Barney Frank roadblocked regulation of Fannie and Freddie. Rangel, McCaskill Sebelius, Geithner, and others didn't pay their fair share. The House has passed a budget. The House has passed jobs bills. The House has passed a repeal of the Affordable Healthcare Bill responsible for doctors going bankrupt now, per CNN. The Senate has passed nothing. I am going to do my best to see tha Mccaskill's career blossums with a DC Law firm, and she pays her airplane and property taxes, or enjoys the perks of a lovely gated community in northwest Kansas.

great news! Let's hope the jobless numbers keep going down and jobs keep increasing.---One of the reasons that the labor market is smaller than it was 3 years ago is that many people have taken buy-outs and are now retired.

doesn't the reduction in jobless claims simply mean people have run out of benefits and don't file for unemployment anymore? if so then the reduction in jobless claims doesn't mean the economy is getting better.

Thank you J, for pointing out a forgotten group of unemployed people.I am one of those you mention and I am not listed in any graph or statistic anywhere. So for all those who think the unemployment scene is getting better, think again ,I am still out of work and am not drawing one cent of unemployment.

    Blame Yourself
You just hate Obama so much that you are blind to the truth
    You need medical help

Sorry, according to CNN, we can't get medical help because good doctors are going bankrupt. I don't hate Obama; I pity him.

The Bush recession started Dec 2007
    Bush was still president
And his lack of regulations caused it all
