IntercontinentalExchange to pitch NYSE deal to EU, WSJ reports

IntercontinentalExchange (ICE) will look to pitch its planned takeover of NYSE Euronext (NYX) to EU antitrust officials rather than seek approval from individual competition bodies in the region, reports the Wall Street Journal. ICE and NYSE plan to formally submit their deal for European Commission review by July, according to merger documents.
