DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. (AP) -- International Speedway Corp. said Wednesday that it has added two new members to its board of directors with extensive multicultural marketing and advertising experience.

ISC CEO Lesa France Kennedy said the appointments come as the company, along with NASCAR, is trying to better connect with "existing fans, engage Gen Y, youth and multicultural consumers in motorsports."

Sonia Maria Green and Larry D. Woodard will fill two existing vacancies on the board. Woodard will hold office until the 2014, completing the term of Raymond Mason, who did not stand for re-election in 2011. Green will hold office until the 2015, completing the term of Edward Rensi, who did not stand for re-election in 2012.

ISC said it Green and Woodward's experience in advertising, branding and multicultural marketing will bring significant perspective and value to the company.

Green is a specialist in multicultural and diversity marketing who worked most recently as vice president of marketing and sales at the Broward Center for the Performing Arts in Florida. She has worked previously as the director of diversity marketing and sales at General Motors and as director of Avon's first U.S. Hispanic marketing division.

Woodward is president and CEO of Graham Stanley advertising, a firm he founded in 2010. He has won a number of advertising awards over the years, including The Cannes Gold Lion for the Oprah Car Giveaway event. He was born in Morocco and spent time growing up in Germany and Italy.

ISC also declared an annual dividend of 22 cents per share on Wednesday, which is payable on June 28 to shareholders of record on May 31. That is up from its annual dividend of 20 cents per share paid in 2012.

The company, based in Daytona Beach, Fla., owns 13 motorsports entertainment facilities, including Daytona International Speedway in Florida and Talladega Superspeedway in Alabama. It also owns and operates Motor Racing Network, an independent sports radio network, among other motorsport-related businesses.
