(NYSE: JEC) announced today that it was awarded a professional services framework contract from NNB GenCo, a subsidiary of EDF Energy, to support its proposed new 3,200 MW nuclear power generation plants at Hinkley Point in Somerset and Sizewell C in Suffolk, United Kingdom.

Company officials did not disclose the contract value, but noted that the duration of the contract is three years and the work is being executed from several Jacobs offices in the UK.

Under the terms of the contract, Jacobs' scope of services covers capital projects consultancy and coordination of the design, management and construction of the projects; including logistics, planning and design, project controls, construction engineering and management, commercial and project management, and risk and safety program design and implementation.

We look forward to integrating our technical capability and global project delivery experience into EDF Energy's New Nuclear Build team for this major energy investment.”

Jacobs is one of the world's largest and most diverse providers of technical professional and construction services.
