JAL seeks 787 compensation

Japan Airlines wants compensation from Boeing (BA) over the grounding of its 787 Dreamliners, once the problem is resolved. The airline estimates the FAA's grounding the new plane would cost it nearly $8 mil in earnings through the end of March. Last week All Nippon Airways announced it would seek compensation from Boeing once the amount of damages was known. Boeing shares rose 0.5% to 75.21.
