Kia says January sales rose 2.2 percent on Optima, Sorento gains
IRVINE, Calif. (AP) -- Kia Motors America said on Friday that January sales rose 2.2 on gains for its Optima sedan and Sorento crossover.
BY THE NUMBERS: The South Korean automaker sold 36,302 vehicles last month, up from 35,517 a year earlier.
TOP SELLER: The Optima was its top seller, rising 27.7 percent to 11,252 units, up from 8,814 a year earlier.
HOT MODELS: Sorento sales rose 9 percent to 8,005, from 7,322 a year ago.
