Japan econmin: consumer spending, exports slowing but sentiment still strong


TOKYO, Oct 24 (Reuters) - Japanese Economics Minister AkiraAmari said on Thursday that consumer spending and exports areslowing somewhat but that sentiment remains strong due to thegovernment's reflationary policies.

Amari, speaking to reporters, also said he expects theeconomy to gain more momentum after the government's economicstimulus package, which it will finalise in early December.
