MORRISTOWN, N.J. (AP) -- Jersey Central Power & Light, a unit of FirstEnergy Corp., is offering customers affected by Superstorm Sandy additional payment plans.
JCP&L says the revised plans make payments more flexible and will remain in place until Mar. 15.
JCP&L customers can make an initial payment of up to 25 percent of the outstanding balance and arrange a budget installment plan to pay off the balance over 12 months.
A second plan requires a payment of up to 25 percent of the balance if the customer can't make the initial payment. A six-month installment plan also can be implemented instead of the current three-month plan.
