Jerome Karam Talks About Plaza 28 Getting Set to Build 36 Rental Condominiums

FRIENDSWOOD, TX--(Marketwire - Sep 17, 2012) - Located on Coliseum Blvd. in Alexandria, Louisiana, Plaza 28 celebrated its grand opening just this past April. The opening, which marked the continued revival of retail and office fronts in the Alexandria area, was celebrated by the Central Louisiana Chamber of Commerce via a special ribbon cutting ceremony. Now, only a few short months since the ceremony, it has been announced that 36 rental condominiums will also be developed on the prospering site.

The location, which is co-owned by renowned Business Litigation Lawyer Jerome Karam, currently inhabits a spacious 43,000 square foot building. The building consists of modernized retail and office suites, and is capable of housing over a dozen tenants.

Originally occupied by CenturyTel and situated right next to a Wal-Mart, initial interest in the new Plaza 28 has been extremely high. Since its opening, Eckerd, a long standing and reputable youth service program, has set up a base of operations within the Plaza. Eckerd was also welcomed with a ribbon cutting ceremony from the Central Louisiana Chamber of Commerce this past July. Other companies are expected to take advantage of the benefits afforded by Plaza 28 shortly.

Jerome Karam an Attorney from Friendswood, Texas, who is well-known for redeveloping outdated shopping centers, office buildings and condominiums in the Louisiana area, hopes to achieve the same success with Plaza 28 that he has in the past. His intention is to help revitalize Coliseum Blvd. and to promote the economic prosperity of Alexandria as a whole.

When fully completed, the site will hold 4 to 5 additional businesses on nearby pad sites, as well as the 36 rental condominiums. Ground is set to be broken on the condos very shortly, but reports on when the project will be completed have not yet been disclosed.

The condos will serve as the perfect complement to the office buildings. They will feature modern amenities, beautiful grounds and will retain the historical flavor and spirit that Alexandria is so very well known for. Upon completion, Coliseum Blvd. and Plaza 28 will become an attractive option for consumers, business owners and prospective renters alike.
