The New York Jets and Monster.com, the flagship brand of Monster Worldwide, Inc. (MWW), announced today that the search is over for the new on-air reporter for newyorkjets.com. Through Monster’s Cool Jobs program, the Jets have hired Liz Gonzales as the team’s newest on-air reporter for newyorkjets.com live programming. Gonzales was introduced to Jets fans at MetLife Stadium on Sunday during the Jets vs. Buccaneers season opener.
Gonzales comes to the Jets with diverse experience in sports production and reporting. A Texas native, she graduated from the University of Texas, Austin with a bachelor’s degree in advertising and public relations. Upon graduating, Gonzales worked as a College Football Big 12 columnist at collegefootballnews.com where she was responsible for researching and producing articles relating to Big 12 teams. She then expanded her football experience at ESPN as a Monday Night Football production assistant and internal website reporter where she worked alongside Jon Gruden and the Monday Night Football crew. Before making the move to Florham Park, Gonzales returned to her home state of Texas where she served as the KTAB news reporter.

Gonzales will join senior reporter and team insider Eric Allen to conduct interviews, engage in dialog, and provide informed opinion to viewers on newyorkjets.com live programs. She will appear on Jets Talk LIVE every Thursday afternoon where they will be joined by Jets players, coaches and team personnel. Gonzales also can be seen on Jets Replay on Mondays following every Jets game. In addition, Gonzales will produce features and write blogs for the website.
