Even though the Fed's two-day meeting is over, today's economic calendar will be just as full yesterday's schedule with more employment data.
The Challenger Job-Cut Report is scheduled for 7:30 a.m. ET. This survey tracks layoffs that have been announced but not yet implemented, so it is often viewed as a leading indicator.
Weekly jobless claims will be released at 8:30 a.m. ET. New filings are expected to come in at 370,000, a gain from last week's 353,000 and within an estimated range of 340,000 to 380,000. Continuing claims are expected to climb slightly to 3.298 million from the previous week's 3.287 million.
The weekly Bloomberg Consumer Comfort Index will come out at 9:45 a.m. ET.
Factory orders for June are scheduled for 10 a.m. ET. The consensus forecast calls for a reading of 0.7 percent, the same as May's number and within a range of -0.5 percent to 1.1 percent.
The weekly EIA natural-gas inventories will be reported at 10:30 a.m. ET.
