Sanfilippo & Son posts profit of $12.9 million in second quarter
ELGIN, Ill. (AP) _ John B. Sanfilippo & Son Inc. (JBSS) on Wednesday reported fiscal second-quarter net income of $12.9 million.
On a per-share basis, the Elgin, Illinois-based company said it had net income of $1.13.
The peanut and tree nut producer posted revenue of $249.4 million in the period.
John B. Sanfilippo shares have declined nearly 6 percent since the beginning of the year. In the final minutes of trading on Wednesday, shares hit $66.47, an increase of 4.5 percent in the last 12 months.
