Judge says eight firms must face deal collusion lawsuit, Reuters reports


In Boston, U.S. District Judge Edward Harrington allowed investors to pursue a closely watched lawsuit accusing several major private equity firms of colluding to depress prices on companies they sought to buy, reports Reuters. The judge dismissed Apollo Global Management (APO) and Providence Equity Partners from the case, but said Bain Capital, Blackstone Group (BX), Carlyle Group (CG), Goldman Sachs Group (GS) , KKR (KKR), Silver Lake Partners, Thomas H. Lee Partners and TPG Capital Management must face claims.
