July gaming rose, stocks fell

Total social gaming daily active users rose in July after declining for 3 months, according to a Cowens & Co. report, which found that new games started off fast but lost popularity quickly. Zynga (ZNGA) daily users jumped 3.2% from June to 51 mil total daily users. Its shares have dropped roughly 68% in '12. Shares rose 3.1% to 3.02. Electronic Arts (EA) gained 9.1 mil daily users, up 8.4%. EA's shares are down 37% on the year. Shares fell 1.2% to 12.71.
