CAIRO, Nov 3 (Reuters) - U.S. Secretary of State John Kerrymet his Egyptian counterpart in Cairo on Sunday and said Egyptwas a "vital partner" that Washington was committed to workingwith.
Kerry, the most senior U.S. official to visit Egypt sincethe army overthrew Islamist President Mohamed Mursi in July,stressed the need for fair and transparent trials for allEgyptians.
Kerry's visit happened the day before Mursi and 14 othersenior Muslim Brotherhood leaders were due to go on trialcharged with inciting violence.
