Look out tablet and ebook companies such as Apple , Google , and Barnes & Noble : Amazon Inc.   describes 2011 as the “best holiday ever” for the Kindle family, with customers purchasing well over 1 million Kindle devices per week through December. The company also announces record-breaking holiday sales by businesses selling on the Amazon platform. Amazon’s publishing business also seems to have hit a purple patch – the company announced that a couple of its Kindle Direct Publishing books, already high on the Amazon bestseller lists, also made it to bestseller lists such as USA Today, the Wall Street Journal, and the New York Times.

Kindle Fire is a lemon. Reported issues with kindle Fire are it runs hot to touch, video playback is jerky, touch screen is not responsive and it takes 2-3 touches to register, power button placement is very poor and is prone to accidental power off, all the hype of Silk browser is not true where the browsing is actually slower than on other Android tablets, etc.
Nook Tablet is way better according to pro reviews out there.
