Kroll Bond Rating Agency Assigns Preliminary Ratings to Sequoia Mortgage Trust 2014-1

Kroll Bond Rating Agency (KBRA) assigns preliminary ratings to twenty classes of mortgage pass-through certificates from Sequoia Mortgage Trust 2014-1, a jumbo prime RMBS transaction.

The mortgage pool backing SEMT 2014-1 is comprised of 429 first-lien mortgage loans with an aggregate principal balance of $324,984,227 as of the cut-off date. SEMT 2014-1 is the first SEMT transaction since 2013-1 to have two loan groups and to include hybrid ARMs. One loan group consists of 15-year fixed rate loans and hybrid ARMs, and the second loan group consists of 30-year fixed rate loans. There are thirteen interest-only loans in the pool. The pool is characterized by substantial borrower equity in each mortgaged property, as evidenced by the weighted average LTV (68%) and CLTV (68%). The weighted average credit score of the mortgage pool is 762, which is within the prime mortgage range.
