Mandeville, La., Ruskin, Fla., companies to flush lubrication oil on Navy ships at San Diego

MANDEVILLE, La. (AP) -- The Pentagon says companies from Louisiana and Florida have won contracts worth a total of up to $100 million to flush lubricating oil on Navy ships in California.

A news release Wednesday said Commissioning Solutions Global LLC of Mandeville and Oilkleen Inc. of Ruskin, Fla., will work on ships within 50 miles of San Diego, Calif., possibly including Oceanside.

Each one-year contract has options for up to four more years, through October 2017. Each company is to provide all the people, equipment, supplies and support.

The Navy's Southwest Regional Maintenance Center in San Diego solicited six proposals and received five through the Federal Business Opportunities website.
