Nov 1 (Reuters) - Jeffrey Lacker, head of the FederalReserve Bank of Richmond, did not comment on current monetarypolicy or the state of the U.S. economy on Friday, according toprepared remarks.
In a Philadelphia speech, the hawkish policymaker insteadtalked about central banking over the last century. He notedthat, in the recent financial crisis, the Fed's emergencylending efforts risked drawing criticism from those who see suchmoves as "redistributiuonal" politics.
